13. 耶和華使他乘駕地的高處、得喫田間的土產、又使他從磐石中咂蜜、從堅石中吸油。

He made him ride on the heights of the land and fed him with the fruit of the fields. He nourished him with honey from the rock, and with oil from the flinty crag,

14. 也喫牛的奶油、羊的奶、羊羔的脂油、巴珊所出的公綿羊、和山羊、與上好的麥子、也喝葡萄汁釀的酒。

with curds and milk from herd and flock and with fattened lambs and goats, with choice rams of Bashan and the finest kernels of wheat. You drank the foaming blood of the grape.

15. 但耶書崙漸漸肥胖、粗壯、光潤、踢跳奔跑．便離棄造他的　神、輕看救他的磐石。

Jeshurun grew fat and kicked; filled with food, he became heavy and sleek. He abandoned the God who made him and rejected the Rock his Savior.

16. 敬拜別神、觸動　神的憤恨、行可憎惡的事惹了他的怒氣。

They made him jealous with their foreign gods and angered him with their detestable idols.

卅二13～14

　　這兩節經文，是形容上主使以色列人住在高地，得享田間和自然界的種植與牲畜的出產等豐富資源。磐石中咂蜜，是形容從巖石之間得到蜂蜜來吃；而從堅石中吸油卻不是獲得石油。以色列地無石油的出產；全國地多堅石，但在這些石地上卻可從其隙縫種植橄欖樹，藉以獲得橄欖打油。以色列地至今仍是輸出橄欖油最多的地方。巴珊是加利利海東邊的肥沃高地。在那裏，出產的牛羊是最肥美的牛羊。
